About Me!
I am Betty Sciscoe, born and raised outside Dallas, TX, and the youngest of five siblings. I have always been fascinated by human connection, and the different prospectives we each have on our personal lives, which has led me to explore photography as a medium for storytelling. My passion lies in capturing cinematic lighting and creating powerful images that convey strong female narratives.
In addition to my interest in storytelling through photography, I am eager to delve into various genres such as headshots, professional and actress portraits, still life product photography, and creative film photography that captures love stories. I aim to use my skills to create compelling visual narratives that resonate with viewers on a deep emotional level.
About My Work
I hope my images contribute to a further positive representation of women—giving agency to stories of women through photography. With a mechanical background in aviation, I find the physical aspects of film photography to be most grounding in my work. I currently reside in Los Angeles, CA. In my free time, I work for the U.S. Coast Guard, and I love to hike the many trails of southern California. You can find me in a local cafe drawing on the environment for my next inspiration.
